With my mentor Tyler, I was able to share my ideas on how to achieve employee recognition through reward systems, and phone calls with employees to hear their concerns. During my weekly assignments I would use Kronos, MyHR and work day to review employee growth and advancement. Working at Cardinal Health was a great learning experience! I got paired up with my mentor Tyler, who gave me weekly assignments and projects. LASER's active participation in helping the Latinx community is helping many Latinx students reach their goals, and I can personally say that I would not be where I am without them. I am learning important skills that are highly sought after in today's job market, and it all started with the Cardinal Health/LASER internship. Regulatory Affairs Specialist, I am now the first line of defense in ensuring that our devices meet regulatory requirements for agencies around the world. Succeeding in this position led to an extension of the internship into part time work during the school year and eventually a full-time position in Regulatory Affairs for medical devices. I worked with the Pharmaceuticals Quality and Regulatory Affairs department reviewing lab results and playing a big role in an important task – ensuring the company was in line with FDA requirements. My internship with Cardinal Health during the summer of 2018 was an amazing experience both personally and for my career.
